Personal Project
A music producer I followed was building a plugin and needed interface design. I reached out. He asked for examples — my portfolio was enterprise HR software, so he passed. I spent a week designing two complete VST plugins with theme variants and sent them anyway. That got the call.
Two plugin designs created in a week to get the conversation started.

Modulatable delay with ADSR envelope, visual filter curve, and clean dark interface.

Multiband tremolo with draggable frequency spectrum. Four bands with independent controls.
The actual project: a sequenced multi-effects plugin. Effects trigger in time with the sequencer — they fire in sync with the music.

Modular chain — add, remove, reorder. Distortion, compression, chorus, filter, pitch, shaper, tape, noise. Colour-coded, with a randomise function.

16-step grid. Each effect has its own lane. Click steps to trigger effects rhythmically. Creates patterns that static effects can't.
The plugin never made it to market. These things happen. Still glad I did it — a week of spec work got me a real project with a proper client. He sent a pencil sketch, I turned it into wireframes, then refined UI, then full definition. The designs hold up.
